DramaTech Theatre presents auditions for "Down The Road"

Primary tabs

DramaTech is pleased to present auditions for Lee Blessing's "Down the Road" on Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12 from 7 - 10pm.  Auditioners should prepare a 1 - 2 minute dramatic monologue and will be asked to read cold from the script.

You only need to attend one evening, but please keep Wednesday, May 13 from 7 - 10pm open for callbacks.

About the show:  DOWN THE ROAD centers on a convicted serial killer and the husband and wife writing team hired to help him write an account of his crimes. The killer, Bill Reach, has admitted to the murders of nineteen women, but there may have been more. Over many weeks of interviews, the couple—Dan and Iris Henniman—grow more and more uncertain of the ethics of what they are doing. Are they simply relating terrifying events, or are they helping readers consume rape, murder and mutilation as if they are consuming any other product of our society? Are they, in fact, helping to turn Bill Reach into a celebrity?

Please be aware, this show is about rape, sex and murder.  If you are not comfortable with these topics or with physical intimacy, this show might not be for you.
