U.S. Army Reprogramming and Analyses, Successful Leveraging of a $100k Study Into $70 million of Sponsored Research Over Four Years

Dr. William Miller has over 40 years of experience in the US Department of Defense as well as in Academia and Industry.  His technical expertise is in real-time embedded software, primarily in target recognition as well as guidance and control.  In the late 1970’s he was part of the GPS proof of concept team.  He has held positions as Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Associate Director of IT at Vanderbilt University, Director of IT for the University of California at San Francisco and Associate and Vice President of Engineering for CyberBills (the Internet start-up company that helped create the on-line bill presentment and payment industry).  He is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Georgia Tech Research Institute, responsible for a portfolio of 30 US Army research projects with an aggregate value in excess of $70 Million.  Dr. Miller received his BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, his MBA from West Coast University and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from LaSalle University.
