First Day to Submit Summer OPT Applications to USCIS

This is the first day that students who plan on working during the summer semester may submit an OPT application to USCIS. Students who will graduate this spring semester (May) and undergraduate students interested in participating in an internship during summer should apply to USCIS now.

Before submitting an application to USCIS, students should review the appropriate OPT tutorial on OIE's website at oie.gatech.edu/opt. If you have additional questions after reviewing the tutorial and OPT website, please send any questions to info@oie.gatech.edu or come to see an international student advisor during walk-in advising hours.

Walk-in advising hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
8:30-11:30 and 1:30-4:30
