When the College of Computing sponsors a career fair, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets swarm! 

The College’s fall Career Fair reported attendance of more than 3,450 students over the three days, a more than 20 percent increase over the 2,770 reported in 2013. This year’s fair was held from Monday, Sept. 8, through Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the Klaus auditorium.

About 40 companies participated each day to discuss internships, mentorships, and career opportunities with the students.

“We had 1,390 students attend on the first day of the fair alone,” said Zvi Galil, dean of the College of Computing. “This fair just keeps getting bigger and has become an essential networking event for our students and corporate partners.”

The College’s Office of Outreach, Enrollment and Community (OEC) planned the event and enlisted many student volunteers to make the event a success. Leading up to the career fair, the OEC held numerous sessions to prepare students to talk to company representatives to secure interviews and then later perform well in the full employment process. Such programs will continue throughout the school year.
