Commissioner Karel De Gucht, is the EU's chief trade negotiator. Previously he was European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid, and before that he was Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Affairs and Minister of Trade. He will discuss the ongoing Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership negotiations and the potential benefits to the local and regional economy.
