Making A Difference In The Classroom: What Works?

Primary tabs

Research on effective teaching in higher education highlights multiple approaches to success in the classroom.  But when it comes to learning, what really matters?  What helps students in a rigorous academic environment master course content?  What makes students want to go beyond what’s required and learn for themselves?  How can faculty create a "healthy" learning climate that doesn't involve spoon-feeding?

Building on the Thank a Teacher notes that Georgia Tech students submitted last semester, this session will explore specific strategies that our students say have a powerful impact on their learning.  Come hear from your colleagues about what is working in their classrooms and share your experiences as well.
