The Robotics & Intelligent Machine Center’s faculty members have technically diverse backgrounds and conduct innovative research to advance robotics. Recently, six of RIM’s outstanding faculty members received promotions within their academic units in the Colleges of Computing, Engineering and Science:

• Frank Dellaert: promoted to full Professor in the School of Interactive Computing

• Daniel Goldman: promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in the School of  Physics
• Charlie Kemp: promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in the Department of Biomedical Engineering
• Thad Starner: promoted to full Professor in the School of Interactive Computing 
• Andrea Thomaz: promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in the School of Interactive Computing 
• Fumin Zhang: promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering
