Yaszek Publishes Essay on African Science Fiction in Groundbreaking Collection

LMC professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies Lisa Yaszek recently published an essay on "Rethinking Apocalypse in African SF" for a special issue of the scholarly journal Paradoxa. This collected, edited by Mark Bould, features essays by leading science fiction scholars such as John Reider, Marleen Barr, and Yaszek as well as interviews with and book reviews by award-winning science fiction authors Nalo Hopkinson and Nisi Shawl. This essay represents part of Yaszek's ongoing research into science fiction as a global language that crosses centuries, continents, and cultures.
