Primary tabs

The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Fellowship program (ETA) places a Fulbrighter in a classroom abroad to provide assistance to teachers of English to non-native English-speakers. English Teaching Assistants help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for U.S. culture. The age and academic level of classroom students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level.  Applicants for English Teaching Assistantships can apply to only one country. Consult this table for details on specific country requirements and numbers of awards.

Knowles Science and Mathematics Teaching Fellowships

Each year, the Knowles Science Teaching Foundation (KSTF) awards Teaching Fellowships to exceptional young men and women committed to teaching science and mathematics in United States high schools. The Foundation believes the commitment to teach merits the deepest respect and support. Recipients must commit five years to being in the classroom.  KSTF Teaching Fellowships are for individuals with strong backgrounds in mathematics or science who are committed to teaching in a United States high school. The fellowship is not intended to support individuals who are pursuing teaching on a temporary basis, as a steppingstone to another career or as a second career. Ideal candidates can demonstrate leadership and achievement in past endeavors and have experience working with adolescents and/or teaching and can articulate his/her motivation for becoming a teacher.  Individuals who have earned or are in the process of earning a degree and who intend to teach mathematics, physical or biological sciences are eligible to apply.
