About the Georgia Tech-COPE Graduate Seminar Series

The Georgia Tech-COPE Graduate Seminar Series is a student-organized event where graduate students can present their ongoing research, improve their presentation skills, and receive feedback.  It provides a non-threatening environment in which students give short talks followed by questions and discussion.  The format of the meeting allows for 4 students to present their research.  A reception after the meeting provides an opportunity for networking with other students. 

The goals of the seminar series:

  • Provide a venue for graduate students to present their research prior to conferences or defense
  • Provide a forum for students to gain experience presenting their work
  • Encourage collaboration among students

The series is a monthly event featuring organic photonics and electronics related research presentations.  Students interested in giving a presentation must submit a title, abstract and photo by e-mail to Sharon Lawrence at least 1 month prior to the event.
