Giving and Receiving Feedback Sessions Hosted By Workplace Learning & Development

Primary tabs

The Office of Human Resources Workplace Learning and Development Team will be hosting sessions on Giving and Receiving Feedback. This is a great topic given the current focus on Performance Assessments. While this session does not focus squarely on Performance Management, it will draw parallels as participants will discuss giving and receiving feedback as a tool that can be used to build relationships.

Course Description
Through guided discussion and experiential learning, these sessions highlight the importance of feedback and build skills and knowledge around giving and receiving feedback. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the importance of focusing on giving and receiving feedback
  • Utilize a framework when prepping for and delivering feedback, and
  • Incorporate the six key components to receiving feedback into upcoming feedback sessions.

The dates for the sessions are May 9th, May 14th, and May 23rd from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. As this session is over the lunch hour, participants may brings their own lunch/refreshments.
