ETHEL performs original composition 24COA

Primary tabs

ETHEL continues its 2012-13 ARTech residency with a free performance of 24COA, an original composition created in collaboration with students from the College of Architecture’s Common First Year (CFY) studio program. Over the course of the year-long residency, CFY students created a visual score to represent their perspectives of life in the West Architecture Builiding over the course of 24 hours. The performance features ETHEL's interpretation of the score, which will lead audience members throughout the building to replicate the students' own experiences.

For invigorating artistry and inventive programming, ETHEL is recognized as America’s foremost postclassical string quartet. Using amplification and improvisation in its performances, the ensemble boldly explores new synergies between tradition and technology.
