Primary tabs

The 2013 Building Manager of the Year Award was presented to Rod Sefton at the Building Manager Symposium on March 19, 2013, which is hosted by the Georgia Tech Police Department Office of Emergency Preparedness and Georgia Tech Environmental Health & Safety. Rod, who is the Facility Manager for the Bunger Henry building was nominated for the award based on several factors. Rod is described by his peers as very accessible, and very helpful – to everyone: researchers, students, Facilities Maintenance, Environmental Health and Safety, and Emergency Responders.  He thoroughly knows his facility and is a great asset whenever there is an emergency or other situation at Bunger Henry. Rod goes above and beyond to ensure that safety procedures are followed and is always willing to participate in training and exercises at his facility.

“Rod is the first person we want to see if we have to respond to Bunger Henry. He does a great job, and he also has a wonderful sense of humor,” said Georgia Tech Emergency Preparedness Director Andy Altizer.

Congratulations to Rod for his achievement!
