Collaborate 2013

Primary tabs

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) and the Parker H. Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience present a half-day workshop bringing together Atlanta's healthcare practitioners, engineers and researchers.

COLLABORATE is Atlanta’s premier workshop for networking with leaders in medicine and bioengineering. Here the engineering and medical communities are brought together to learn about on-going projects, new opportunities, and create multi-disciplinary collaborations. Talks will feature organizational leaders interested in aligning resources and skill sets to develop innovative medical technologies and solutions that address challenges faced by the healthcare community. Focus of the workshop is to foster partnerships, translational research, and other development opportunities.

This event will feature speakers exploring resources and potential for innovation at Georgia Tech, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory School of Nursing, IPaT, and The Coulter Foundation. It will also feature updates on past funded collaborations and panel discussions on how to find partnerships and funding for your own biomedical venture.

Admission is free, though RSVP is required.  All researchers, medical professionals, engineers, administrators and students are welcome. A light breakfast and full lunch will be offered. Complimentary parking will be available in the GTRI parking deck.

If you have any questions or dietary concerns please contact Shawna Hagen.

Additional sponsors of this event include Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Tech's Institute for People and Technology, the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation and Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing.
