The Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs has confirmed the campus visits of three finalists for the position of Dean for the College of Sciences. Each finalist will be announced a few days before his or her visit. 

The dates of the three candidate visits are:

• Feb. 26-27;
• Feb. 28 - March 1; and
• March 5-6.

Each will deliver a public presentation at 11 a.m. on the first day of their visit, followed by an informal public reception. The campus is invited to provide feedback on the candidates at provost.gatech.edu/dean-sciences.

As chief academic and administrative officer of the College of Sciences, the Dean is responsible for providing leadership for the following specific activities: strategic planning, faculty appointments, budgetary and administrative oversight, stewardship and development and multidisciplinary partnerships. Finalists were selected by a committee chaired by School of Mechanical Engineering Regents’ Professor David McDowell and comprised of faculty members, campus administrators, and students.
