Pishdad-Bozorgi Speaks at LEED Platinum Certification Ceremony

Dr. Pardis Pishdad-Bozorgi was an invited speaker at the Atlanta Emerging Green Professionals meeting and ceremony designating the LEED-CI Platinum award at the Haworth Ideation Center.  Dr. Pishdad-Bozorgi is an expert in Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) models and spoke to the group about IPD Systems and Trust Building Attributes.   Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is an emerging delivery system distinguished by a multi-party contractual arrangement. IPD promotes collaboration by aligning the business interests of project participants through financial shared risks and rewards.

The Haworth Ideation Center, located in the Terminus 200 Building in Atlanta, GA, was built using the Integrated Project Delivery model for construction. Other invited speakers at the meeting included Howard Ashcraft from Hanson Bridgett, LLP, who has championed the use of IPD in North America. He discussed the implementation of IPD in projects. The event concluded with Judith Webb from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) presenting the LEED-CI Platinum award.

Dr. Pardis Pishdad-Bozorgi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Building Construction and a faculty advisor for the AGC Student Chapter at Georgia Tech.
