"There's huge economic interest especially between Japan and China that this dispute could disrupt and could undermine, and no one wants to see that happen," said Brian Woodall, associate professor in The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, regarding the recent clash between China, Japan, and Taiwan over the ownership of a small collection of relatively deserted islands in the East China Sea.
