As Atlantans prepare to vote on the Atlanta Regional Transportation Referendum, a group of Georgia Tech students will present their own perspectives regarding the T-SPLOST in the Library this Wed., July 25.

From 1:20 – 3:20 p.m., Tech students in the Mass Transportation section of English 1101 will present their positions on the transportation referendum in the Georgia Tech Library’s East Commons (LEC) Performance Space.

“Georgia Tech students are well positioned to influence transportation and land use in the Atlanta region and beyond over the next century, their ideas are likely to impact many people's lives,” said Dr. Lauren Curtright, who teaches the Mass Transportation section. She is a Brittan Fellow in Tech’s School of Literature, Communication, and Culture.

“From the presentations, I think the audience will glean that Georgia Tech students are eager to help communities move toward sustainable transportation,” added Curtright.

Additionally, students in the Public Art section of English 1101 will present their service-learning projects with Living Walls and Art on the BeltLine. Both presentations are open to the public.
