The Case for a National Academy of Environmental Design: Associate Prof Nisha Botchwey promotes evidence-based design

Associate Professor Nisha Botchwey is on the board of the new National Academy of Environmental Design, which strives to provide evidence-based design resources to practictioners across the built environment disciplines. A recent project by NAED was a research symposium on green design and public health. Botchwey said “changing behavior alone is not enough to combat childhood obesity. Environmental factors influence when, where, and how much people eat and drink and how physically active they are.”
