Inventing the Future 2012: A One-Day Invention Seminar

Inventing the Future 2012 is a one-day invention seminar covering the America Invent Act, provisional patent applications, technology commercialization and other related topics on Saturday, April 21 in the Clough Commons Auditoria. 

Experts from USPTO, Georgia Tech, Inventors Association of Georgia, and local groups will help attendees understand the new patent law, tips for filing a patent, and offer ideas on how to move your invention.

Sponsored by the Georgia Tech Library, a Patent and Trademark Resource Center, and the Inventors Association of Georgia,Inventing the Future 2012will bring together inventors, entrepreneurs, researchers, students and professionals to socialize and share information. Jilda Garton, Vice President for Research at the Georgia Tech Research Corporation, will present the keynote address at 9:10 a.m.

During lunch, an inventor spotlight will highlight a group of selected inventors with their prototype models. Georgia Tech student inventors who would like the opportunity to be chosen for the inventor spotlight should email patentscoordinator@library.gatech.edu for more information.
