IDSA Atlanta Chapter Lecture: Franky Claeys "Made in Belgium"

Primary tabs

Join MODA and the Atlanta Chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) for a lecture by Franky Claeys titled, “Made in Belgium,” on the evening of Tuesday, March 13.

Franky Claeys’ path to a design career was an unconventional one.  After graduating from the University of Ghent as a civil engineer in biogenetics, he decided to press the reset button and to earn a degree in industrial design from the Henri Van de Velde Hogeschool in Antwerp.  Today, his design work ranges from art direction to photography.

Most recently, Claeys has worked for international artists, musicians, and major corporations.  He has collaborated on  one of Yoko Ono’s art projects, art directed and photographed for albums by singer-songwriter and producer Ozark Henry, and worked with corporate brands like Nike, Levi Strauss, Olympus, Capco, and Phillips.

At MODA’s Design Conversation, Claeys will be discussing the means by which creative designs are brought into being in Belgium.

Doors open at 6:00 pm; lecture begins at 6:30pm.
