Nersessian on Applied Philosophy

Nancy Nersessian, a Professor with a joint appointment in the School of Public Policy and the College of Computing, spoke this week at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, about philosophy's role in science education and maintaining scientific integrity. Nersessian, whose research investigates how bioengineering scientists think and work, talked about model-based versus hypothesis-driven models in scientific investigation.
