Primary tabs

Session Three of the Intellectual Property in Academic Seminar Series - Trademark Search Made Easy - will take place Monday, Feb. 27 from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the Homer Rice Center, Library 2 East.

This seminar teaches students how to search for trademarks registered in the U.S. using the Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS). The hands-on course will cover strategies for conducting a federal trademark search, and searching marks using trademark search tools, such as the trademark classification as well as the design search code.

A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol or a combination of these used to identify and distinguish the source of the goods and services of one party from the goods and services of others. A trademark helps one protect and brand one's business.

The Georgia Tech Library is the only Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) in the State of Georgia. The Library keeps all available patents issued in the U.S. since 1790 on file. The Library also provides free training to inventors, students, and researchers.
