<p> Photochemical Behavior of TiO2- Following Electron and Hole Behavior
</p>
<p>AACP Seminar Series
</p>
<p>The behavior of photogenerated charge carriers in TiO2 is a key issue in the optimization of efficiency of both photovoltaic devices and of redox processes which occur on the TiO2 surface. Using a variety of physical methods we have been able to monitor processes such as charge transfer across the surface and electron-hole recombination within the TiO2 bulk. These methods have allowed us to control the transport of electrons and holes at the semiconductor surface by causing band bending, using various adsorbed molecules.
