{"78191":{"#nid":"78191","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Apply or Nominate Students to U.S. Presidential Fellows","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EUndergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply to be\nselected to represent Georgia Tech in the 2012-13 Presidential Fellows Program.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech\u2019s Fellowships Office will select one student to apply to\nparticipate in the yearlong program that provides an opportunity for 75\nstudents to study the U.S. presidency and public policy-making process.\nParticipants will attend leadership conferences in the fall and spring in\nWashington, D.C., discuss national issues with presidential scholars and meet with public policy experts and senior\ngovernment officials.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFellows\nundertake an original research project on an aspect of the modern presidency or\nCongress and write a paper that will be eligible for awards and publication.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EApplicants need\nstrong academic credentials and an interest in the institutions of the\npresidency and Congress, international affairs or public policy. All majors and\nlevels of study may be nominated.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003ENomination\nmaterials include a resume, 300-word statement of interest, transcripts and\ncontact information. Faculty may nominate a student or students may nominate\nthemselves.
