Levine on Diverse Stem Cell Lines

“The survey results provide empirical data to support previously anecdotal concerns that delays and impediments to acquiring certain human embryonic stem cell lines may be hindering stem cell science in the United States,” said Aaron Levine, Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy. This statement reveals the finding [from Levine's study] that some scientists are struggling with the logistics of obtaining cell lines, from a survey of more than 200 US human embryonic stem cell (hESC) researchers published in the December issue of the journal Nature Biotechnology. Source: The Scientist - December 14, 2011
