EGL Open House Highlights End of Fall Semester

The end of each semester means three things at Georgia
Tech: finals, commencement and open houses. The Experimental Game Lab (EGL)
held its open house on December 6. EGL Director Celia Pearce and her students
held their Winter Open House at the Experimental Game Lab (EGL) on December 6th
to showcase their latest projects. They included the games Ellis Island,
Mermaids and Virtual Harlem
Quest and Narrative Layer, as well as eStadium
Friend Finder. Janet Murray, professor in the digital media graduate program,
and her students also participated and showcased their interactive Justified
Companion App. See highlight photos from the event.

The demonstrations came just days after Pearce appeared
on Bloomberg
Media to discuss how video games can lead to real-world energy solutions.
