Gegenheimer Lecture and the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering\u2019s (ME) Capstone Expo. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EJohn G. Voeller, an alumnus of the school and chief knowledge and technology officer at Black \u0026amp; Veatch, will deliver this year\u2019s Gegenheimer Lecture. He is the principal architect of POWRTRAK, Black \u0026amp; Veatch\u2019s automated engineering system that was used to build more than 500 power facilities around the world. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cJohn Voeller is a leading visionary in terms of how innovation and technology impact society\u2019s grand challenges,\u201d said Bill Wepfer, Eugene C. Gwaltney Jr. Chair of the Woodruff School. \u201cI encourage the Georgia Tech community to attend what I think will be a fabulous lecture by one of our very own.\u201d \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EVoeller\u2019s lecture will focus on innovation \u2014 past and future \u2014 and on marrying the fundamentals of engineering and new advances in technology to enable the expansion of human creativity.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ELater in the day, the Capstone Expo will be open to visitors and is the culmination of student projects from the ME senior design course.
