DuBose is a research associate with the College of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology where she is responsible for project development and management.  Her research focuses on evidence-based design for healthcare facilities projects including the development of a business case for evidence-based design, collaboration on the exhaustive 2008 literature review on the subject and investigating the role of innovation in improving design for healthcare systems. She has worked on projects for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Military Health System and the Louisiana State University Hospital creating materials to support transformation of new hospitals based on emerging evidence.  She has authored  numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, several book chapters, and has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings.

Ms. DuBose is a LEED accredited professional with a background in sustainable facilities and organizational sustainability. She has worked with government and private sector clients to help them develop policies and strategies for greening their facilities and operations.  Ms. DuBose is currently the principal investigator for a qualitative research project evaluating user perceptions of green resilient flooring materials in hospital environments.  She helped to create cutting-edge corporate sustainability initiatives while at Interface, Inc.  Additionally, she is well versed in greenhouse gas accounting systems and offset project development having developed the first Climate Cool product in the U.S. and continues to develop these skills as a technical expert for the American National Standards Institute’s Greenhouse Gas Validation and Verification Accreditation program.

Ms. DuBose has a master’s degree in public policy from Georgia Tech with a focus on sustainable development.  After completing her undergraduate degree in Philosophy at Oglethorpe University she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
