  <title><![CDATA[IMPACT Speaker Series: Kevin A. Trapani to discuss "Shared Values, Class Warfare and Social Responsibility"]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>On <strong>Wednesday,</strong> <strong>October 5,</strong>
the fall IMPACT Speaker Series will continue with a talk by Kevin Trapani.&nbsp; Mr. Trapani is president &amp; CEO of <a href="http://www.redwoodsgroup.com/">The
Redwoods Group</a>, an insurance provider that is dedicated to protecting nonprofit
organizations around the nation.<strong> </strong>He
is also a regular speaker on sustainability and corporate social responsibility
at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. In this IMPACT session, Mr. Trapani will provide his thoughts on the topic of, "Shared Values, Class Warfare and Social Responsibility."</p><p>Please join us for this event in the LeCraw Auditorium, College of

<p>Kevin
A. Trapani is president and chief executive officer of The Redwoods Group, an
insurance provider dedicated to protecting YMCAs, Jewish Community Centers and
nonprofit resident camps around the nation. He also is president of The
Redwoods Group Foundation.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p><p>Prior
to forming The Redwoods Group in 1997, Trapani was executive vice president of
Burlington Insurance Group, senior vice president and chief underwriting
officer of Coregis Insurance Group and held senior leadership positions at Great
American Insurance Companies and the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
Trapani also started the first statewide health maintenance organization in New
Jersey.

</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>A
1979 Duke University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in political science,
Trapani is a regular speaker on sustainability and corporate social
responsibility at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Trapani is also
chair of the Community Advisory Board of North Carolina Public Radio and is a
member of the Advisory Committee for Duke’s CASE (Center for Advancement of
Social Entrepreneurship) that promotes the entrepreneurial pursuit of social
impact through business.

the Impact Speaker Series</em></p>

<p>Since 2002, the IMPACT Speaker Series has brought highly successful business
leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and
give advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from
"building a venture around intellectual capital" to "successful
entrepreneurship in large organizations" and "socially responsible
leadership". </p>

<p>The weekly series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni and the Atlanta
business community an opportunity to network and learn from successful
entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and notable business and non-profit
leaders. Events for the series take place in the LeCraw Auditorium in the
College of Management building at 4:30 pm on Wednesdays unless otherwise noted.
