All Georgia Tech students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of Tech are invited to join Georgia Tech's team for the 2011 AIDS Walk & 5K Run on Oct. 16 at noon in Piedmont Park. The team goal is to recruit at least 100 members and raise at least $5,000 to benefit AID Atlanta and the nine participating organizations.
So far, the team has raised nearly $400. Members from several departments on campus, as well as MOVE, GT Pride Alliance and GT Pride Alumni have signed up to participate. (For runners looking for qualifying races, this event is a sanctioned 5K timed course.)
The team that recruits the most members between 8/22 and 9/5 will receive an ice cream party for up to 30 people at the winner's location, so help us be number one! Click here to join the team or make a donation.
