I will show how this insight can be harnessed through time-stepping methods with a \u2018stability\u2019 property, allowing long imaginary times of thousands or more (i.e. very low temperatures with high precision) to be reached easily. A key demonstration of the method is accurately capturing universal finite-temperature physics of the Anderson impurity model below the exponentially-decreasing Kondo scale. I will end by offering perspectives about where this work could be applied next.\u003C\/p\u003E","format":"limited_html"}],"field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Quantum dynamics can be numerically expensive, yet dynamical and equilibrium properties can be readily accessed by evolving in imaginary time"}],"uid":"36562","created_gmt":"2026-10-28 12:13:59","changed_gmt":"2026-10-28 12:14:49","author":"tnevels9","boilerplate_text":"","field_publication":"","field_article_url":"","field_event_time":{"event_time_start":"2026-11-04T14:00:00-05:00","event_time_end":"2026-11-04T15:00:00-05:00","event_time_end_last":"2026-11-04T15:00:00-05:00","gmt_time_start":"2026-11-04 19:00:00","gmt_time_end":"2026-11-04 20:00:00","gmt_time_end_last":"2026-11-04 20:00:00","rrule":null,"timezone":"America\/New_York"},"location":"Howey Physics Building, Room N201\/202","extras":[],"hg_media":{"681576":{"id":"681576","type":"image","title":"Headshot_Square.jpg","body":null,"created":"1793189646","gmt_created":"2026-10-28 12:14:06","changed":"1793189646","gmt_changed":"2026-10-28 12:14:06","alt":"Miles Stoudemire","file":{"fid":"265997","name":"Headshot_Square.jpg","image_path":"\/sites\/default\/files\/2026\/10\/28\/Headshot_Square.jpg","image_full_path":"http:\/\/hg.gatech.edu\/\/sites\/default\/files\/2026\/10\/28\/Headshot_Square.jpg","mime":"image\/jpeg","size":84686,"path_740":"http:\/\/hg.gatech.edu\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/740xx_scale\/public\/2026\/10\/28\/Headshot_Square.jpg?itok=ZkFvLSN2"}}},"media_ids":["681576"],"groups":[{"id":"126011","name":"School of Physics"}],"categories":[],"keywords":[],"core_research_areas":[],"news_room_topics":[],"event_categories":[{"id":"1795","name":"Seminar\/Lecture\/Colloquium"}],"invited_audience":[{"id":"78761","name":"Faculty\/Staff"},{"id":"177814","name":"Postdoc"},{"id":"174045","name":"Graduate students"},{"id":"78751","name":"Undergraduate students"}],"affiliations":[],"classification":[],"areas_of_expertise":[],"news_and_recent_appearances":[],"phone":[],"contact":[],"email":[],"slides":[],"orientation":[],"userdata":""}}}
