The discussion will consider both the opportunities and challenges posed by emerging technologies and the responsibilities that accompany their development and use.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBobb brings experience spanning higher education, government, and industry to the conversation.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe is the founding senior director of Georgia Tech\u2019s \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/constellations.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EConstellations Center for Education in Computing\u003C\/a\u003E, which \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.cc.gatech.edu\/news\/599792\/georgia-tech-launches-constellations-center-aimed-equity-computing\u0022\u003Eopened in 2017\u003C\/a\u003E. Before joining Georgia Tech, he served as director of STEM Education Strategy and Research at Google, a program officer in the National Science Foundation\u2019s Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering, and director of the STEM Initiative for the University System of Georgia. He also served on President Obama\u2019s \u003Cem\u003EMy Brother\u2019s Keeper\u003C\/em\u003E STEM Task Force.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe earned a Ph.D. in science and technology policy from Georgia Tech and master\u2019s and bachelor\u2019s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe speaking engagement follows Bobb\u2019s September appearance at the Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing in Atlanta.
