She will serve as a key resource for students, faculty, and staff to address complex academic concerns, support policy implementation, and foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.\u202f\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cSophie Landrieux Kartochian\u2019s teaching and research reflect a commitment to student-centered learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and inclusive excellence,\u201d said Amanda Murdie, dean of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, Regents\u2019 Professor, and Ivan Allen Jr. Chair. \u201cI\u2019m delighted we\u2019ll have Landrieux Kartochian\u2019s deep expertise in student support in this vital new role.\u201d\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe Assistant Dean for Student Success and Leadership will also serve as the College\u2019s lead champion and Progress and Service Fellow for the Leaders in Progress and Service Quality Enhancement Plan in partnership with the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success.\u202f\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003ELandrieux Kartochian, lecturer of French in the School of Modern Languages, has extensive experience in higher education, including more than five years at\u202fGeorgia Tech, spanning teaching, program development, and student success initiatives across\u202finternational and interdisciplinary contexts.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EShe specializes in teaching languages for specific purposes (French for Business, French for Professional Communication, French for International Affairs). She has received awards for her teaching, including the Student Recognition of Excellence in Teaching (Spring 2025 CIOS Honor Roll, Spring 2022 CIOS Honor Roll, and Fall 2022 CIOS Honor Roll) and numerous Thank a Teacher program awards.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003ESophie Landrieux Kartochian\u2019s areas of expertise include French for Business, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. She has completed research projects about women in management, career development, and negotiation. She currently focuses her work on Intercultural Management and French for Specific Purposes.
