Through guided demonstrations and self-directed experimentation, participants will develop a foundational understanding of these processes while exploring their potential for variation, combination, and personal expression.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe workshop is inspired by\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EThe Craft of Paper: Contemporary Takes on Tradition\u003C\/em\u003E, an exhibition that examines how artists today are reinterpreting established paper craft techniques within contemporary art and design contexts. Over two decades of working with paper, he is recognized as a leading voice in the contemporary renaissance of paper-based art. His work has been exhibited internationally, including the Shanghai International Paper Art Biennial;\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EGlobal Paper\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;at the Stadtmuseum Deggendorf, Germany;\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EPaper Fascination\u003C\/em\u003Eat the Gustav L\u00fcbke Museum, Germany; and the Cheongju Craft Biennale in South Korea. Velliquette\u2019s work is held in major permanent collections such as the Chazen Museum of Art, the Racine Art Museum, the John Michael Kohler Art Center, The Progressive Corporation, and The Microsoft Collection. He has completed residencies and cultural exchanges worldwide and has been featured in\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EColossal\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;and\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EThe New York Times\u003C\/em\u003E.
