{"687115":{"#nid":"687115","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Design Accessible PDFs with LaTeX","body":[{"value":"\u003Cdiv\u003ELaTeX-generated PDFs, especially those with complex math, have traditionally been hard to make accessible.\u0026nbsp;However, recent updates to the LaTeX kernel have made it possible to make most standard documents more accessible for students with vision-related disabilities. As of April 2026, updated Title II requirements make this type of accessibility improvement \u003Cstrong\u003Emandatory\u003C\/strong\u003E for our materials.\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EDuring this workshop, we\u0027ll explore how accessible documents benefit all students, discuss some basic examples, and then learn how to enable the new features.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EThis is an interactive workshop with active work time built in to experiment with new features.
