While proof-of-principle demonstrations of advanced and sophisticated approaches in this field have existed for decades, it is only recently that these tools are being more effectively applied to biomedical applications. The potential to engineer biology to impact human health with the development and production of diagnostics and therapeutics also enables deeper probing of biological principles. Synthetic biology has become a particularly promising and important field that will impact and advance human health and biotechnology.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EThe Suddath Symposium is held annually to celebrate the life and contribution of F.L. \u0022Bud\u0022 Suddath by discussing the latest developments in bioengineering and bioscience. The speakers include leading researchers from around the world, and the research topic changes each year.
