As director of the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory (ASDL) and executive director of the Professional Master’s in Applied Systems Engineering (PMASE) program, Mavris has shaped one of the world’s leading ecosystems in design and innovation.  

His session, titled “The ADSL Academy: Building a Community of Ph.D. Scholars: Reflections and Lessons Learned,” will explore how the ADSL Academy has transformed the traditional doctoral experience by fostering a student-based community rooted in collaboration, leadership, and community. Through structured peer engagement, research development, and holistic skill-building, the Academy has produced a thriving network of Ph.D. alumni who are redefining success in academia, industry, and government.
