The challenge gives participants an opportunity to set up teams for their workplace, encourage each other to ride, and win prizes for participation and mileage. Last year, a Georgia Tech team won the citywide challenge. 

It’s also a chance to learn about or get reacquainted with on-campus cycling resources. That includes a virtual Ride Smart class and monthly in-person group rides. Learn more. 

Georgia Tech has long been a great place to ride, and last year, it earned renewed recognition as a gold-level Bicycle Friendly University. Campus bicycle infrastructure took a major step forward this fall with the opening of the Ferst Drive cycle track, which provides a bidirectional path separated from vehicular traffic. And, with the recent opening of a bike shop in the Campus Recreation Center, riders can get help with repairs, parts, and maintenance right on campus.
