Since 2008, it has provided open access to firsthand testimonies from those who endured Nazism and Communism, ensuring that history\u2019s darkest times are never forgotten. \u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EJulie studied Journalism, Media Studies and Ethnology at Charles University in Prague. In 2007, Julie moved to New Orleans to continue her studies at the University of New Orleans and has since settled there with her Turkish husband and two daughters. She is the author of \u003Cem\u003EDoma v Nola\u003C\/em\u003E (At Home in Nola), a book about New Orleans\u2019 history and culture, based on her stories for Czech radio. She also hosts the podcast \u003Cem\u003EDoma ve St\u00e1tech\u003C\/em\u003E (At Home in the States).
