Curtis will continue efforts to support the community and advancement of women and minorities in academia.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ECurtis serves as one of six ADVANCE Professors, one for each college at Georgia Tech. Her appointment became effective July 1, 2023.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cIt is an honor,\u201d Curtis says. \u201cHaving personally benefited from ADVANCE initiatives, I am grateful for the opportunity to build on my predecessors\u0027 work and to contribute to the well-being of all faculty at Georgia Tech.
