  <title><![CDATA[Librarians build connections across state]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>This summer Librarians and Archivists from Georgia Tech hosted and participated in tours to foster community connections across Atlanta’s, and Georgia’s, museums, archives and libraries.&nbsp;</p><p>In late May, the team behind the current exhibit <em>Defining Skylines: John Portman and the Architectural Evolution of Downtown Atlanta</em>, in partnership with the Society of Georgia Archivists, hosted an exhibit tour exploring Portman's legacy and its lasting impact on the city’s landscape.</p><p>Then, in June, Archives staff were welcomed for a behind-the-scenes visit to the Chick-fil-A Archives, hosted by Document Archivist Jennifer Sirotkin at the company’s corporate headquarters. Highlights included early marketing materials featuring their original mascot, Doodles, and the evolution of the beloved "Eat Mor Chikin" cows.</p><p>Later that month, <em>Student Experience Librarian&nbsp;</em>Karen Manning, <em>Collection Development Librarian&nbsp;</em>Patty Kenly, and <em>Archival Associate I&nbsp;</em>Sara Matthews participated in a group tour of the Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking. They were joined by library colleagues from other institutions for knowledge sharing and professional growth.</p>]]></body>
