{"682434":{"#nid":"682434","#data":{"type":"news","title":"The Future is Here: ECE GSO Names New Leadership","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/ece.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EGeorgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering\u003C\/a\u003E (ECE) Graduate Student Organization (GSO) introduced the next generation of leaders.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAfter three impactful semesters of service, Richard Asiamah is passing the torch to a new team that will guide the GSO into the future.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cI am proud of the successes and impact my team and I have made over the past couple of semesters,\u201d Asiamah said, reflecting on his tenure. \u201cWe continuously sought to enrich the student experience through the myriad of activities organized to build capacity, encourage socialization, and overall enhance graduate life at Georgia Tech.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFor the Fall 2025 semester, Himanshi Gupta, an ECE graduate student, will serve as president of the GSO. Beginning in Spring 2026, leadership will transition to Faaiq Waqar, a third-year Ph.D. student.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe organization is confident in the next generation of leadership and excited to see where they take the organization.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBoth Gupta and Waqar have played active roles in the GSO over the past several semesters, contributing significantly to the planning and execution of many events. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cAt ECE GSO, we strive to make the graduate experience at Georgia Tech more engaging and collaborative by bringing together peers, faculty, and advisors in meaningful ways,\u201d Gupta said. \u201cFrom professional development to social gatherings, we host a wide range of events that foster connection and growth.
