Our industrial engineering (IE) teams worked with a broad range of industries, including transportation, analytics, non-profits, and more. Many of our teams had the chance to collaborate extensively with their clients, ultimately allowing them to apply their technical knowledge to their company's obstacles and providing them a well-rounded solution.

Even in our state, we will be able to see our students' impact -- meet senior design team “Grand Slammers”!

They won the Best of ISyE distinction award at Capstone Design Expo, for their collaborative work with the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta’s Major League Baseball (MLB) team. The group created a data-driven methodology to strategically place promotions and giveaways to maximize ticket sales for their annual revenue. 

The project focuses on developing a regression model to forecast tickets sold that would then be fed into an optimization model to design a promotional calendar that maximizes the impact of promotions. The team created an adjustment dashboard to visualize the impact strategic promotion placement has on predicted attendance as well as analyze customer satisfaction survey data that is currently not being utilized by the Braves.
