Karie Davis-Nozemack, associate provost and executive chief of staff in the Office of the Provost, will serve as interim provost beginning June 1, following the departure of Steven W. McLaughlin. Davis-Nozemack brings a wealth of experience in academic administration, strategic planning, operations, and policy development to the role. 

"Karie Davis-Nozemack is a thoughtful, principled leader with a deep understanding of Georgia Tech’s academic mission and a long-standing commitment to faculty and student success,” said President Ángel Cabrera. “I am grateful that she has agreed to step into this role at this critical time, and I look forward to the steady and strategic leadership she will bring to our academic community." 

A tenured faculty member in the Scheller College of Business, Davis-Nozemack has made significant contributions across the Institute since arriving in 2011. She previously served as interim associate dean of academic programs in Scheller College and as chair of the Faculty Executive Board. Her leadership in these roles has been marked by integrity, collaboration, and advocacy for academic innovation. 

Davis-Nozemack is also a respected educator and scholar, with teaching expertise in law, business ethics, and taxation. Her dedication to teaching has earned her numerous awards, including the Brady Family Award for Teaching Excellence and multiple Professor of the Year awards.
