It has a great energy around it, and you may see something you never thought you'd see."

Brazzle credits the ambition of the campus community for the festival's exponential growth as it enters its 12th year. New events, such as the Art Crawl and the GT Arts Block Party, have encouraged campuswide engagement and brought new student organizations into the fold.

Looking ahead, Brazzle says the Institute is poised to play a leading role in art's evolution in the digital age. This year, installations will feature immersive elements like virtual reality, motion capture, and other sensory-based experiences that explore the intersection of the arts and technology.

"Art helps us understand our society better, and that's why art will never fade away. Artists can look at what it is about our human condition that needs to be told and expressed and do it in a multitude of ways. These creative outlets allow us to understand society better and how technology can play a role. This is something that the Georgia Tech community does a great job of, as well as finding new ways to engage, communicate, and work together."

Brazzle sees a "thirst for expression" among the campus community, and Georgia Tech Arts sees an opportunity to expand its role in empowering students to explore STEAM education.

"I believe the future of art is through technology, so events like this help showcase that you may come to Georgia Tech to learn something like engineering or manufacturing, but at the same time, you'll see parallels to art in what you're learning in the classroom.”

Through the development of Tech’s planned arts district, which will be located at the former Randall Brothers site, Brazzle is confident that “Georgia Tech can be at the forefront” of the new era for the arts by supporting education, research, and entrepreneurship around cutting-edge applications of technology to artistic practice.

Check out the full schedule of TechArts Festival events below.

Georgia Tech Musician’s Network 1000 Couches Festival

When: Friday, March 28, 2 – 10 p.m.
Where: Tech Green

Enjoy free live music from Georgia Tech bands and Atlanta artists.

School of Music Concerts

Dates, times, and locations vary.

Join the Georgia Tech School of Music for an electrifying lineup of concerts that celebrate creativity and collaboration.
