The nano-scale structures, crafted through artificial engineering, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/ece.gatech.edu\/news\/2023\/12\/shaping-future-light-through-reconfigurable-metasurfaces\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Eexhibit exceptional optical properties\u003C\/a\u003E beneficial for imaging and spectroscopy systems.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp lang=\u0022EN-US\u0022\u003EHe was one of nine researchers from institutions around the world to receive the award.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAdibi, who is the director for the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/sites.gatech.edu\/ece-prg\/\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EPhotonics Research Group\u003C\/a\u003E,\u0026nbsp;earned his M.S.E.E. from Georgia Tech in 1994 and joined the ECE faculty in 2000.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe received his B.S.E.E. from Shiraz University (Iran) in 1990, and his\u0026nbsp;Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 2000. His Ph.D. research resulted in a breakthrough in persistent holographic storage in photorefractive crystals.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAdibi has a wide range of research interests in both theoretical and experimental aspects of photonic devices and materials.
