The committee advises Secretary Chertoff and the DHS Chief Privacy Officer on \u0026quot;programmatic, policy, operational, administrative and technological issues relevant to DHS that affect individual privacy, data integrity and interoperability, and other privacy-related issues.\u0026quot; Ant\u0026oacute;n will serve a four-year term on the committee.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAnt\u0026oacute;n is currently an associate professor of computer science at North Carolina State University, and the founder and director of ThePrivacyPlace.org, a research group of students and faculty at Georgia Tech, NC State and Purdue University. She is co-founder of the Biannual Symposium on Requirements Engineering for Information Security (SREIS), and was named a National Science Foundation (NSF) Career Award winner in 2000.
