  <title><![CDATA[Georgia Tech Encourages Women In Computing]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><strong>(October 23, 2006)--</strong>Georgia Tech, as a leader in increasing the participation of women in computing, will host the National Center for Women &amp; Information Technology (NCWIT) semi-annual meeting on November 15-16, 2006. Leaders from over 80 distinguished universities, corporations and non-profits from across the country will attend and support NCWIT's efforts to significantly increase girl's and women's participation in the information technologies for innovation, competitiveness, social impact and equity.</p><p>The College of Computing at Georgia Tech will hold a reception on the 15th in order to meet NCWIT leaders and share ideas about the meaningful role women can and must play in technical innovation.</p><p>For more information about NCWIT, go to <a href="//www.ncwit.org/&quot;">www.ncwit.org</a>.</p>]]></body>
