  <body><![CDATA[<p><strong>Title:</strong> A Retrospective Look at a 30 Year Career<br><strong>Speaker: </strong>Gina DeSimone, Retired Boeing VP of Division Operations<br><strong>Date:</strong> Monday, February 10, 2025<br><strong>Time:</strong> 12:30 p.m.-1:20 p.m.<br><strong>Location:</strong> Van Leer Building, C241</p><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Gina DeSimone will discuss her 30-year career at Boeing including challenges, pivots and lessons learned.&nbsp;</p><div><p><strong>Bio:</strong> Gina DeSimone retired as a vice president from The Boeing Company in April 2012 with over 29 years of experience with Boeing in various program management, engineering and quality assurance leadership positions. &nbsp;Some of her roles included vice president of Division Operations at the Intelligence and Security Systems division and the Missile Defense Systems division; vice president of Engineering and Programs at Boeing Air Traffic Management; senior site executive of Boeing Huntsville; director of Marine Systems programs; director of Business Processes; director of Quality Assurance; and chief standoff weapons engineer.</p><p>DeSimone holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In retirement, she stayed involved with the Georgia Institute of Technology having served on both the Electrical &amp; Computer Engineering and Women in Engineering Advisory Boards. She currently helps Georgia Tech with its Transfer Year Experience program. She enjoys teaching middle school math and science as a long-term substitute and playing pickleball.&nbsp;</p></div>]]></body>
